Tree Removal

Tree removal is not something to be taken lightly, but in some instances it is the best option for many homeowners and their landscapes.

Tree removals are preformed for many different reasons.

Hazards – If a tree is in poor shape and dropping branches in a regularly frequented area such as a yard, driveway, walkway etc, it may be the best safety option to remove said tree and replace it with a smaller healthy one.

Clearances – It is not uncommon for trees near homes and other building to get a little out of hand and need to be removed. When a tree encroaches on a home it could cause mold and mildew problems, it could also lead to building damage. Along with potential structural damage, utility lines often are forgotten, especially when they are partially covered by tree and plant growth. As we have all seen over the years with the snow and ice storms we receive here in New England, keeping wires clear of tree limbs is of the utmost importance.

Encouraging new growth – Trees need light to grow. Keeping this in mind on occasion it is more beneficial to remove a tree that is near the end of its healthy life span, before it becomes a danger, to allow light and air to get to new places which will encourage new tree growth.

Landscaping – In some cases a tree you may have just doesn’t match the look you are going for, but, if at all possible try working around a well establish tree first before the choice is made to just remove it. Some times with the correct pruning, a tree that didn’t match your plans may be changed into a center piece of your landscaping.
